
Sanjay Khanna gets additional charge of BPCL CMD

Sanjay Khanna appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of BPCL, with extensive experience in refinery operations and technical services.
State-run Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) said on Thursday that its Director (Marketing) Sanjay Khanna has assumed the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director of the oil marketing company (OMC).
This is after G Krishnakumar retired as the CMD on April 30.
A chemical engineer from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli and Postgraduate in Finance Management from Mumbai University, Khanna has over 3 decades of experience in refinery operations and technical services.
He anchored several prestigious projects for setting up new process units in Refineries at Mumbai, Kochi and Numaligarh.
Prior to becoming Director (Refineries), he headed BPCL refineries in Kochi and Mumbai. As Executive Director of Kochi Refinery, he played a key role in commissioning the first ‘Niche Petrochemical’ project of BPCL, Propylene Derivative Petrochemical Project (PDPP).
Khanna also serves as a Director on the Boards of Bharat Petro Resources (BPRL) and Ratnagiri Refinery and Petrochemicals (RRPL).
Additionally, he is also the current Chairperson of ‘Technical Committee for Petroleum Refineries’ under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG).
Separately, the company said that Director (HR) Raj Kumar Dubey has taken over the additional charge of Director (Marketing).
With a career spanning over 35 years in business and human capital development, Dubey is an alumnus of NIT Allahabad with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has completed his Masters of Business Administration from International Centre for Promotion of Enterprises, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
