One of the best holidays in sneakers has officially begun. May 2025 will see a series of “Grey Days” New Balance releases, with the Boston brand bringing its hallmark aesthetic to as many as twenty models. That includes the New Balance 2010; a new lifestyle sneaker with huge potential to become NB’s next big mainstream sensation.
Currently set to debut May 7th in a “Vintage Khaki/Green” colorway, the New Balance 2010 is best described a chunky sneaker reminiscent of the brand’s heralded 99X series (although it’s not Made In USA). Given the popularity of the New Balance 9060 – a sneaker cut from similar cloth – it’s quite possible we’ll see consumers latch onto the 2010 in the same way. A handful of colorways have surfaced since February 2025, including supposed collaborations by Rich Paul and KITH, but the “Grey Days” might be the strongest of the bunch.

Worn above by rapper and New Balance partner Aminé, eyes are immediately drawn to a buttery, pre-yellowed midsole. Suede overlays are paired with leather underlays, both of which appear in taupe grey, while a more silver-skewing mesh base adds balance. Reflective “N” logos are affixed to both sides in familiar fashion, taken with cream underlays that tie in with the midsole and laces. Lastly, light blue New Balance branding appears over a reflective tongue.
The New Balance 2010 “Grey Days” releases May 22nd, 2025 via newbalance.com and participating New Balance retailers. The model retails for $160, placing it among the likes of the New Balance 1906R and 9060 in the mid-$100s bracket. Return to our Where To Buy section below for purchase links on that date.
