Hansi Flick and Jagoba Arrasate were both full of praise for Pedri after Barcelona beat Real Mallorca 1-0 in La Liga on Tuesday night.
Dani Olmo scored the winner for the hosts, but it was Pedri who went home with the MVP award after another eye-catching display.
Arrasate admitted he hasn’t seen anything like the Canary Islander for some time.
“When you watch Pedri… You appreciate him on television, but you suffer on the pitch. He’s at an incredible level. I haven’t seen a midfielder like him for a very long time,” he told reporters.
Flick was also full of praise for his midfielder after yet another masterclass.
“It’s hard to say what Pedri’s limits are. He’s at the top of his game right now,” he said. “Not just on the ball, but also when he doesn’t have it. He helps us a lot in that defensive aspect, and everyone knows how good he is.”
The win means Barcelona are now seven points clear at the top of La Liga and have just five games left to play.
