The Best in the World coming out to ‘Cult of Personality’ live at WWE’s Showcase of the Immortals was as great as we imagined it would be.
Rumors had been swirling for days that Living Colour might be on-hand tonight (April 19) for a performance of “Cult of Personality”, their 1988 hit that’s become synonymous with CM Punk.
They had a show in Las Vegas this weekend, the same city where Punk would finally get the WrestleMania main event he’s wanted since his first WWE run in the late aughts and early 2010s. It would be perfect for Corey Glover, Vernon Reid and the band to show up in Allegiant Stadium for a live rendition to send Punk to the ring for his match against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns to close Night One of WrestleMania 41.
It was, but it was even more perfect that Living Colour followed a video package about Punk’s road to this moment, set to his other iconic, kick-ass entrance song, Killswitch Engage’s “This Fire Burns”…
Then it was time for “Cult of Personality”, and an entrance that featured a great interactions between Punk and LC frontman Glover, and with the Wiseman he took from Roman Reigns, a dancing Paul Heyman.

I know I marked out. And judging by our Open Thread for the show, I wasn’t alone:
We’ll let you know when Corey posts that selfie.
