WWE Raw’s color commentator is getting back in the ring for another match.
Pat McAfee is getting back in the ring.
WWE gave the color commentator time to air out his grievances after he was choked out by GUNTHER while defending Michael Cole on the Raw After Mania last week on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. He used that time to speak on his success as a broadcaster and how that may have led to his forgetting who he used to be and where he came from.
He’s a fighter, damn it.
He’s also a loyal guy who will ride or die for those close to him, that being Cole. So, then, he wants to fight GUNTHER for everything that went down between the three of them. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, filling in for Raw GM Adam Pearce, came out to have an impromptu meeting about it and came up with a solution.
Instead of a fight, McAfee can have a sanctioned match with GUNTHER in a WWE ring at the upcoming Backlash premium live event scheduled for Sat., May 10, 2025, in St. Louis.
So it’s on!
