R-Truth meets up backstage with his childhood hero.
Ever since John Cena turned heel at Elimination Chamber last month, the one WWE star I’ve been waiting for him to cross paths with is R-Truth. Cena is Truth’s childhood hero, after all, so I couldn’t wait to see his reaction to John’s change of heart.
Truth finally caught up with John backstage during tonight’s (Apr. 25) episode of SmackDown. Truth is happy that Cena is the new WWE champion, and he told John to give him a call any time he needs him.
Cena didn’t know how to respond and took his leave, leading to Truth telling Jimmy Uso that he wants to be just like the real world champion John Cena when he grows up.
Is this segment leading to an angle where heel John Cena beats the shit out of R-Truth to get maximum heel heat, or will John actually give Truth a call when he needs some help? Let me know what you think in the comments below, Cagesiders.
